Okay, here's the deal. Gas prices are getting outrageous. When I started driving 2 years ago, the average price of gas was $1.12 a gallon. Now? We're paying $2.79? That's not quite right. Most people are under the impression that there's nothing we can do about it; wrong. If approximately half of the population of the United States didn't buy gas for one day, the oil companies would be close to bankrupcy! So on September 3rd we're calling for everyone in America to boycott gas for the day. Simply don't buy it. Skip the extra trip over to your best friend's house, carpool to work, do whatever you can do in your power to avoid purchasing gas on September 3rd. Seriously, we can make a difference. Post this everywhere you can. Seriously. Copy it, paste it in YOUR LiveJournal. Email it to your friends and family... make flyers, whatever. Do what you can, because this is really important! If we don't do something now, gas could end up being $6.00+ in our lifetime.
